Twelve Bet Shemesh Running Club Members ran the Tel Aviv Marathon on a beautiful Friday Morning on Rosh Chodesh Iyar. The decision to run the marathon was made spontaneously less than a month ago and although many of us just ran the Tiberias marathon in January, we ultimately concluded that a marathon that was being staged practically in our backyard was simply too enticing to ignore. So we embarked on a crash training program precisely when we should have begun our taper and managed to squeeze in two long runs. We drove to Tel Aviv knowing that we were not going to break any records that day but rather to enjoy ourselves and participate in a big event together. It was quite a special and memorable day all around. Mazal Tov to all our runners. Below are the marathon results.
